Kodak Black aka Bill Kahan Kapri received a last minute pardon from outgoing President Trump.

Black had campaigned hard to be considered for this pardon.

At the time of the pardon, Black was serving time in a federal prison for false statements made to purchase firearms.

He had served two years of his approximately 4 year sentence.

The pardon did not dismiss the pending South Carolina sexual assault charge against Black.

Black is accused of raping a woman after a 2016 concert.

The pandemic disrupted jury trials in South Carolina forcing the prosecution to go on hold.

At the time of this post, South Carolina was attempting to take Black into custody once released from federal prison.

Kodak Black was very popular like some other rappers.

In July of 2019, Seattle Seahawk Defensive Lineman Malik McDowell was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

McDowell’s blood test result was .189.  The encounter started poorly with McDowell refusing to obey the Officer’s directions.

McDowell was originally stopped for spinning his tires in the snow and speeding.

McDowell then began wrestling with the Officer who eventually tazed McDowell and that is when the real wrestling began.

Former NY Jet Defensive End nets DWI

Muhammad Wilkerson was a defensive end for the New York Jets NFL Team from 2011 to 2017.  Wilkerson played that same position for the NFL’s Green Bay Packers in 2018 and is presently looking for a team as a free agent.

Wilkerson was stopped by police for a minor traffic infraction in Manhattan’s Washington Heights.  Because he smelled of an alcoholic beverage the police arrested him.

Wilkerson did not know that he should immediately lawyer up by saying “I want a Lawyer.”

Police report that Wilkerson had a .09 BAC; the legal limit is .08 BAC.  At this level, the police report that he has watery, bloodshot eyes; had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and a flushed face.

Wilkerson foolishly trusted the police and admitted that he had a shot and two beers — a tiny amount of alcohol for a man who is 6’4″ and weights 315 pounds.  But the admission sealed the deal for probable cause in 2019’s zero tolerance for drinking and driving.

Cleveland Brown Gets Christmas DUI

Cleveland Brown Gets Christmas DUI

Cleveland Brown Gets Christmas DUI

Cleveland Brown Gets Christmas DUI:  Armonty Charles Bryant was born May 20, 1990 and plays Linebacker for the NFL Cleveland BrownsBryant was drafted by the Browns in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL DraftBryant played his college football at East Central.  In October of 2012, Bryant was arrested for twice selling marijuana from a parking lot at East Central University and was placed on probation.  In May of 2013, Bryant was given a suspended sentence of one year for a DUI.  Bryant was arrested for this DUI within a week of being drafted.  #ClevelandBrownGetsChristmasDUI

Cleveland Brown Gets Christmas DUI: On Christmas Day Bryant was driving his vehicle and Cleveland Brown Safety De’Ante Saunders were stopped for a traffic infraction.  The stop turned into a DUI Investigation which resulted in both Bryant and Saunders being arrested.  My best guess is that marijuana was found in the vehicle.  The Browns, following the NFL substance abuse policy, suspended Bryant for the Kansas City game.  Bryant has been having a good year as he is second in sacks for the Browns for the season.  Saunders does not play in games but is on the practice squad.  #ClevelandBrownGetsChristmasDUI

The Browns, through their general manager, stated:

“These are charges that we take very seriously. . . .”  “The importance of responsible decision-making is something we continually stress to all members of our organization, which makes it extremely disappointing that these two individuals would put themselves in this situation by making such poor decisions.”

Bryant may be looking at jail time since he may qualify as a repeat DUI offender in light of his 2013 DUI conviction.  Most states have mandatory incarceration, ignition interlock and years of no driving for second DUIs within five years.  #ClevelandBrownGetsChristmasDUI

Best Harrisonburg DWI Lawyer: Today it is not hard to be arrested and charged with DWI.  The Federal Government issues grants for DWI enforcement which are in reality bounties for arresting citizens for DWI.  In Virginia the top two DWI enforcement officers receive an all expense paid vacation trip to Virginia Beach.  This DWI trip is paid for by Anheuser-Busch.  Officers also receive overtime pay and advancement because they are successful in DWI enforcement.  Whatever you subsidize you get more of.  These incentives, of course, are wrong because they encourage Officers to rush to arrest a suspect rather than taking their time and doing the investigation correctly.

Best Harrisonburg DWI Lawyer: Celebrities are now considered Prized Trophies in the DWI War on American Motorists.  In late February, 2015, television and movie actor Will Patton was arrested for DWI near his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina.  Patton is known for his work in Falling SkiesRemember the Titans and Armaggedon.  Patton is fortunate that he was stopped in South Carolina since that state has a requirement that the DWI stop, investigation, testing and breath testing must be videotaped.  With those videos the Judge or Jury can see exactly what happened.  With a video the finder of fact is not required to simply believe the Officer’s version of events; the finder of fact can actually see and hear what happened.  It is important that we use this technology since Officers are biased by the bounties offered for DWI enforcement.
